You only realise how complex the digital world is when you actually get to grips with it. And even then, some questions may remain unanswered. We may be able to answer them for you here. If not, please give us a call.
What does it take to develop an online information platform?
This depends entirely on the company’s existing infrastructure. If you already have a digital solution, you probably only need an additional tool with which you can link the various applications. Otherwise, a completely new solution will be required. We will discuss the needs and possibilities together in order to develop a platform that is specifically tailored to your company.
What are the prerequisites for using an online platform?
The essential requirement is that users have the necessary technical equipment so that they can fully utilise the online service.
Here is an example: A service technician needs a smartphone, tablet or laptop with internet access to be able to access the platform from anywhere while travelling.
We work in a highly regulated environment. How can we still make our information available digitally without infringing the regulations?
Digital solutions offer the advantage that you can set up a basic framework.
This allows you to determine on an individual basis what can and cannot be published, and who can and cannot access it.
Important legal guidelines or symbols can be displayed in a document and the rest of the content can be freely designed.
It is also possible to generate a desired publication automatically by specifying what content or keywords should be included.
Is it possible to make user-specific documents and documentation available online in several languages?
Yes, this is entirely possible. And what is more: Thanks to our digital solutions, with an integrated function and appropriate use of terminology the translations can be displayed on the system and used for publication in a short space of time.
Are there legal requirements regarding the form in which operating instructions may be published online?
No, this is not explicitly stipulated anywhere and is handled differently depending on the country. However, there is a new EU Machinery Directive (2023/1230) which states the following: The machine manufacturer undertakes to make the operating instructions
- accessible online for at least 10 years after the machine has been placed on the market, but ideally for the entire service life of the machine.
- available in a digital format that allows easy downloading and printing of the document.
- physically accessible on the machine or packaging or in an accompanying document.
The documentation of technical processes is a complex and highly individualised matter that we cannot possibly cover in full here. Therefore: If you have a specific question, please contact us and we will give you a personalised and, of course, expert answer.
